Rinse mud off. Metal edging in wet ground will weather over time, which on this profile reads as part of the agricultural look rather than as a fault.
Defines a bed or lawn with some characterThe corrugated profile gives a border texture that flat edging does not, and the ridges stiffen it along its length.
Hemmed edges, safe to handleThe top edge is folded back on itself, so there is no sharp lip while you fit it or walk past it later.
Buy by the metre, no minimumOrder the exact length your bed or path needs. One metre or thirty, the price per metre is the same.
Metal that lives outsideMade for ordinary garden exposure for years. Weathering on this profile reads as part of the look, not a fault.
About this product
The agricultural look, with edges that are safe to handle.
Corrugated metal edging with hemmed edges, sold by the metre. Texture and stiffness that a flat strip cannot give.
Corrugated metal is a look before it is a product: barns, water tanks, raised beds, that whole agricultural language.
The corrugation is not only decorative. Folding a sheet into a wave makes it far stiffer along its length than the same sheet flat, so it holds a straight run well.
The edges are hemmed, meaning folded back on themselves. That removes the sharp edge that makes ordinary cut sheet metal unpleasant and risky to install.
It suits raised beds, vegetable gardens and any scheme that wants texture at the border rather than an invisible line.
Sold by the metre, so you buy the run you measured.
Every other edging in this range is trying to be discreet. This one is not. Corrugated metal announces itself, and in the right garden that is exactly what you want.
It belongs with vegetable beds, cut flower beds, allotment style planting and anywhere the garden is meant to look productive rather than decorative. Alongside a raised bed built in the same material it reads as one considered scheme.
The engineering point behind the look is stiffness. A flat sheet of thin metal bends easily across its width. Fold that same sheet into corrugations and it becomes substantially harder to bend along its length. That is why the profile appears anywhere thin metal has to span a distance.
The hemmed edges matter more than they sound. Raw cut sheet metal is genuinely hazardous to handle and to have at ankle height in a garden. Hemming folds the edge back on itself so there is no cut face exposed.
It will weather in wet ground over time. On a corrugated agricultural profile that tends to read as appropriate rather than as failure, but if you want a finish that stays exactly as delivered, stainless is the material to choose.
Still deciding?
Not sure yet? That is fine.
This track is cut to the length you order, so it counts as made to your specification. That means our 15 day change of mind window does not apply to it once it has been cut. Your rights if something is wrong with it are untouched, and we would rather answer a question now than have you order the wrong length.
If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. Your province's consumer protection law covers you, we pay the return postage, and you can have a repair, a replacement or your money back. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order, including how to measure.
Giving a flower bed, lawn edge or path a clean metal border with some texture. It keeps the line between lawn and bed tidy and stops bark or gravel wandering onto the grass.
How does it look?
Corrugated, like a fine version of roofing sheet, with a folded top edge. It suits rustic and agricultural schemes and looks right next to any other corrugated metal on the property.
What do I get per metre?
Edging to cover one metre of edge. Order the number of metres your run needs. There is no minimum, so one metre is fine.
How do I install it?
Mark your line, cut a clean vertical face along it with a spade or half moon edger, seat the edging against the face and firm the soil back on both sides.
Can it follow a curve?
Gentle curves, yes. The corrugation stiffens it along its length, so for tight bends or right angles cut and join sections rather than forcing it.
Can I cut it?
Yes. Measure your run and cut to length with a hacksaw or metal snips. Wear gloves and file any cut edge smooth.
What is it made of?
Metal with hemmed edges. The hem is the fold along the top that makes it safe to handle and gives the edge a clean finish.
How much does it cost?
$33 per metre. Delivery is free on orders of $100 or more and a flat $30 below that.
Are there other sizes or options?
One profile is listed, sold by the metre. If you need a specific face height, ask us before you order.
What do the photos show?
The edging in place along beds and paths so you can judge the look. Plants, pots and garden props are not included.
Which specs should I check before I buy?
That it is sold per metre, that the edges are hemmed, and that the corrugated profile is the look you want. Height is not listed on this page, so ask us if your bed needs a specific face height.
How do I work out how many metres I need?
Measure along the line the edging will follow, going round every curve, and round up to the next metre. Add a little for cuts at corners, then check your basket before paying.
Can I order more than one metre?
Yes. Set the quantity to the number of metres you need, on this page or in your basket.
Will it suit every garden?
It suits most beds, lawns and paths in normal garden soil. Very rocky ground makes the spade line harder to cut, so prepare the line first. If you are unsure, send us a photo and your measurements before you order.
How should I prepare the ground?
Mark your line, clear weeds and loose stones, and check for shallow pipes or cables before you cut the spade line.
Any safety tips while fitting it?
Wear gloves and sturdy footwear. The edges are hemmed, but a cut end is still metal, so file it smooth.
What if the ground is hard or stony?
Water the line the evening before, loosen it with a fork and lift out the larger stones. Do not force the edging against buried rock.
Can I use it as a retaining edge?
No. This is a garden border, not a retaining wall. It is not load bearing.
Will it weather?
Metal in wet ground weathers over time. On this profile that reads as part of the agricultural look rather than as a fault. If you want a finish that stays dark and even, see the black steel edging.
Can I check it will suit my garden before I buy?
Yes. Send us the measurements, a photo of the edge and what you have there now, and we will tell you straight.
Is the price in Canadian dollars?
Yes. Every price and checkout total is in Canadian dollars.
What does delivery cost?
Free across Canada on orders of $100 or more. Below that it is a flat $30, shown in the basket before you pay.
How long does delivery take?
Allow 24 to 48 hours for handling, then 5 to 7 days in transit, so about a week in total. Every order is sent tracked and the link is emailed once it ships.
Can I use a discount code?
Yes. Enter it in the basket and it takes 15% off the goods. Delivery is not discounted, and free delivery is worked out on the discounted goods total.
How do I track my order?
Use the Order Tracking page with the details we email after dispatch. If anything looks stuck, email us with your order number.
Can I return it if I order too much?
This edging is cut to the length you order, which makes it goods made to your specification, so the change-of-mind window does not apply to it once it has been cut. Measure carefully and ask us before you order if you are unsure. Faulty or damaged goods are a different matter and are always covered.
What if it arrives damaged or wrong?
Email us with your order number and a photograph. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are covered under the consumer protection law of your province or territory. We pay the return postage and you can have a repair, a replacement or your money back.
Can I cancel before it ships?
Yes, free of charge. Email us with your order number as soon as you can and we will stop it before dispatch.
I have a big project. Can you help?
Yes. Use the wholesale enquiry page and tell us the products, quantities and your delivery postcode.
Where do I get help?
Email theteam@lawnedge.net or use the Contact page. Include the product name and your question, plus your order number if you have one.

Where corrugated edging belongs

A look, chosen deliberately
Most of what we sell is designed to vanish. Black steel reads as a shadow, stainless as a line, plastic as a functional necessity. Corrugated metal is the opposite: it is texture, shadow and a clear visual statement at the edge of the bed.
That makes it the right answer in a specific kind of garden. Vegetable beds, cut flower beds, allotment planting, anywhere with raised beds already built in timber or metal. It reads as part of the same language.
In a formal, planting led scheme it will fight with what you are doing, and corten or black steel is the better call.
Why corrugated rather than flat
There is real engineering in the shape. A flat sheet of thin metal folds easily. Corrugate the same sheet and it becomes much harder to bend along its length, because any bend has to deform every one of those folds.
That is why the profile turns up on roofs, tanks and silos, and it is why this holds a straight run better than a flat strip of similar thickness.
The hemmed edges
Worth understanding before you compare it with cheaper corrugated edging.
Raw cut sheet metal has a genuinely sharp edge. At ankle height in a garden used by children or dogs, that is not a small thing, and it makes installation unpleasant too.
Hemming folds the edge back on itself, so what you handle and what sits above the soil is a rounded fold rather than a cut face. Wear gloves anyway.
Fitting it
Same as the other metal edging. Mark the line, cut a clean vertical face with a square spade, seat the edging against it, backfill both sides and firm the soil down.
Keep curves gentle. The corrugation that makes it stiff along its length also makes it resist being bent into a tight radius.
Weathering
Metal in wet ground weathers. On this profile that usually looks right, because the material already carries an agricultural association. If you want a finish that stays exactly as delivered, buy stainless. If you want rust as a deliberate designed finish, buy corten.
Not sure which material suits your ground, or how many metres a curved bed needs? Ask before you order. Free delivery across Canada on orders over $100.
Corrugated Metal Garden Edging (SKU corrugated-garden-edge) sold by
LawnEdge Canada at lawnedge.net. Garden edging in corrugated metal with hemmed edges, sold per
running metre at CAD 33. The corrugated profile makes the sheet substantially stiffer along its
length than a flat strip of the same thickness, so it holds a straight run well. The edges are
hemmed, meaning folded back on themselves, which removes the sharp cut face that makes ordinary
sheet metal hazardous to handle and to have at ankle height in a garden. Its purpose is visual as
much as functional: it gives a textured, agricultural finish suited to raised beds, vegetable and
cut flower gardens and allotment style planting, in contrast to the black steel edging which is
chosen to disappear. Honest limitation: metal in wet ground weathers over time, which on this
profile generally reads as appropriate rather than as a fault, but stainless steel is the choice
if the finish must stay as delivered. Cut to the customer's length, so it is made to specification
and the change of mind window does not apply once cut. Delivery Canada wide, free over CAD 100.
